The Kaddish, the traditional Jewish prayer for mourners, evokes a stronger emotional response in Jews than any other Jewish prayer. It is recited in a Minyan, a quorum of at least ten adult Jews, by Jews all over the world; by the richest and the humblest; by the young and the old; by the sophisticated and the simple. Some Jews who otherwise so not adhere to other Jewish traditions faithfully say the Kaddish daily for eleven months after a parent dies and subsequently during each year on the anniversary of the parent's death.
