Please note: this version of Daddy's Deployed features a boy as the main character. We also sell a version featuring a girl as the main character. The idea behind Daddys Deployed was born, coincidentally, with the birth of the author's first child. After almost a decade teaching English and working at Child Development Centers on bases across the country, Bridget knows first-hand how helpful books can be for explaining things to children. After her husband left for training when their daughter was two weeks old, Bridget began shopping around for books dealing with military separation. After ordering the half-dozen books she found, she was disappointed with the generic images, tone, and messages in each. Daddys Deployed is the complete opposite of those books. Our book is beautifully illustrated and full color throughout. Daddy's Deployed aims to truly connect the child to the deployed parent, no matter how many thousands of miles may separate them. We are also thrilled to announce that we have partnered with the Lone Survivor Foundation and will be donating a portion of our monthly profits to this amazing organization. The Lone Survivor Foundation is here to help America's Wounded Warriors and their families adjust to the effects of their experiences and help them transition into what may be looked at as their 'new normal' providing an understanding and acceptance of who they are as a person, a family, and a community.
