Product Overview

Author: Fred C. Collier - This book consists of a collection of revelations which have not been included in the Doctrine and Covenants, covering the period of Church history from 1829 to 1889. Revelations contained in this volume deal with many different interesting subjects. The original manuscripts or copiess of them can be found in the Archives of the Church at Salt Lake City, Utah. The 2nd Edition of this book contained 219 pages, and 91 different Parts. This 3rd Enlarged Edition is more than double in length, containing 460 pages and 28 new Sections, which amounts to more than a 33% enlargement of the previous edition. In addition to these new Parts or Sections a great deal of Historical Data and Documents has been added at the end of many of the different Sections. For example documents are published in connection with many of the Revelations - among which are documents which prove that President Woodruff's 1880 and 1889 Revelations, together with many of the Revelations which were given to President John Taylor, were presented to the Quorum of the Twelve and First Presidency, and that they were Voted upon and Sustained as the Word and Will of the Lord. In addition to this, an introduction to the President John Taylor / Wilford Woodruff period has been added. This introduction consists of 96 pages of new information regarding various passages in the Bible which have been altered or obscured, in order to soften or altogether remove statements which the texts in the Bible originally stated regarding Plural Marriage. One prominent individual has stated that if this book contained nothing but this introduction, that the book would be worth its price. All in all this, together with the other documents and notes which have been added, make this 3rd edition a must for Book shelves of those who have a love and appreciation for the Restored Gospel.
