This is the textbook for SPE 3740 - Foundations of Speech and Thought at Metro State in Denver, authored by some of the department's professors. This course fulfills general studies and upper division credit hours at the university, and you can get into an online session, so many students from all backgrounds end up taking it. You'll be expected to read and discuss/cite from pretty much the entire book, so it's important to have access to it for the class.
