While all states may have different laws, almost all states includes in their security guard training and educational requirements the general topics that constitute the majority of what a security guard deals with on a daily basis. Topics such as First Aid, Emergency Procedures, Bomb Threats and Fire Evacuation, Ethics and Professional Conducts, Access Control, Patrol Techniques, Observation Techniques, Terrorism, and many other topics. This Security Guard Training Manual was developed to meet the most stringent standard. It represents over 24-60 hours of study materials. It also includes a legal section that discusses, uniform requirements, levels of crimes from Simple Assault to Trespassing to Felonies, to the use of deadly force. This small section of the curriculum is as generic as possible so as to constitute an easy guideline for the laws you should look upon in your jurisdiction. It is your responsibility to research the laws of your state, county, city, as well as ensure that you take the steps you need to meet your states licensing requirements, if there are any. Last but not least, this manual is used every day in over 20 State-Licensed training centers to train pupils around the US.
