Product Overview

The book of IF by David Fesler bears a close resemblance to the life of this author. IF you like History then couple the book with some Romantic Paranormal and you have one of the most famous couples in history; Joseph and Theodosia Burr Alston. The time period is today: and yesterday in the university town of Iowa City. While I may have painted a nicer picture than it really was, I have my reasons. Certainly today makes 1969 look like 1955 and the first episode of Captain Kangaroo. It would help the Republicans understand the Democrat wins. It should help a Democrat understand why we need a balanced two party system. Buy the book for someone who lost their job before they jump off a ten story building, rather than jump over it. Timothy never could get Lisa out of his mind as she reminded him of not only an old girl friend but of a missing girl he had invented in a game called the Black Shadows. Keep in mind when reading this book that the game was invented by an eight year old boy. While Timothy is a skeptic he has constantly reviewed his life as that eight year old boy and found logical coincidences in the Black Shadow game such as picking a plastic Thomas Jefferson from a set containing other Presidents. President Jefferson sending out the union troops to stop the Black Shadow Army from taking Texas long before the Alamo is only one factor that Timothy has no explanation as to why it was built into the story. The only time period the game fits into is 1805 for the Burr Expedition to take Texas. Reality has been turned into story form with Time Travel involved. While women may say that this book is more of the Joseph Alston side there should be no doubt as the concern for women as Lisa will put a twist at the end. Different than Timothys skepticism, Lisa believes she is Theodosia and so the two will become husband and wife once again. {The second book is already started.} Two thirds of the book is the way it really was with the heroes and heroines. Meet the people with their feet on the ground in 1969. The last one third of the book is more than accurate, with all facts documented. IF by David Fesler was originally supposed to be a nice fresh book on Time Travel where Timothy Joseph Alt goes back to the time a person made $500.00 a month and could have a family. The year was 1973 and yes I said per month. As the book was started with a conversation between two real people on what an upside down world it was: the question became what if Mitt Romney would have been elected President over Barrack Obama? Always the Kennedys Democrat I checked with top level people in the Republican Party and found it plausible that if Romney had been elected that the Gun Bill could have been passed. The book ties areas of the paranormal together and at the same time ties together: families, churches, elected officials, courts and politics with the economy. If you are a college student; all I can say is Good Luck especially in Iowa City, Iowa. If you are a Political Science major then the book is a good resource. If you are a History major then perhaps the story surrounding Blennerhassett Island is for you. . The two top books used as inspiration and reference were: Windows to the Past by Hans Holzer and Sybil Leek with the second book being H. G. Wells Time Machine. For $4.95 at Barnes and Nobel I could hardly pass it up and was fascinated with the introduction talking about finding the ideal woman and rebuilding society after it falls apart.
