Shipboard romances, champagne cocktails, erotic photographers, jealous swains, Mickey Finns, jazz musicians, blackmail, and attempted murder mingle before the thieves find out, as have countless love-smitten men before them, that where the glamorous and intelligent Phryne is concerned, resistance is futile.
