Communication among the people in an archipelagic country is difficult, what with the element of physical distance between them. but it makes the situation even worse when a nation is divided by linguistic differences, such as the case in our country [Philippines]. This dictionary is the compiler's humble contribution to bridging the gap among the various Filipino cultural groups. It serves its purpose when responsible and sensible citizens take the initiative in finding ways and means to understand those people who do not necessarily belong to their own group. However, it achieves its most important goal when national unity is achieved through the citizens' perseverance to have a productive and amiable communication transaction with one another. Take this opportunity to learn a new language and use this skill to better interact with its native speakers.
